What a CRAZY day in college football Yesterday. 10 of the top 25 teams all lost including the former #2 now #8 Penn St. Nittany Lions who lost to the #7 Ohio St. Buckeyes 39-38 in a game that Penn St. led pretty much the ENTIRE way, So the loss pretty much knocks the Nittany Lions out of playoff contention at least for now. Perhaps the 2nd biggest loss of the day that had possible playoff implications, the #13 TCU Horned Frogs lost a heartbreaker to the upset prone Iowa St. Cyclones 14-7.
What a GREAT lineup of games for this week. Starting with what would be a definite playoff game if it was that time of the season and the Buckeyes were ranked a bit higher. The #2 Penn St. Nittany Lions at the #8 Ohio St. Buckeyes. This game has HUGE playoff implications and should be a CLASSIC. If the Nittany Lions pull out the win and they get by the #19 Michigan St. Spartans next week you can pretty much punch their ticket as the #2 seed in the playoffs when you look at their remaining schedule.
It just DON’T seem to be getting any better. Last weeks dismal 7-8 record just goes to prove the parity the NFL has among the 32-teams at least that this ole Sports Minds story/excuse and I’m sticking to it. That brings the overall season record to a PITIFUL 57-48. With weeks like the last two I would have been better off going with the winners, Um, well never mind with the way things are going I guess I would have ended up making them losers….
