WOYSM NFL Top 15 (Week 10)

New England’s Tom Brady
With eight the teams in the WOYSM NFL Top 15 losing this week its ironic that NO teams dropped out of the poll. It’s getting so that all of the teams with the exception of #1 New England and #2 Carolina have become questionable indeed from one week to the next.
Both the Patriots and Panthers are the only remaining unbeaten teams left in the NFL at 9-0 each and New England is looking more and more like they could be headed towards another undefeated season. They have already wrapped up the first ever WOYSM NFL Top 15 poll championship for this season after being the only #1 ranked team all season and for the 11th straight week (Including the preseason poll).

Carolina’s Cam Newton
If you look @ both the Patriots & Carolina’s schedules, the Panthers will have a tougher road if they plan to remain undefeated. Their biggest test thus far thought they are currently 2-7 will be the Dallas Cowboys with starting QB, Tony Romo back this week for the first time since the Cowboys were 2-0 after dropping seven straight without Romo.
#3 Cincinnati looked like the Bengals of old on Monday night after losing to Houston 10-6, the Bengals offense failed to score a single TD against the Texan’s defense. QB, Andy Dalton looked average and the only question about the Bengals, EVEN if they bounce back and should go undefeated for the remainder of the regular season is, CAN they win more than one playoff game?
#4 Minnesota and #5 Arizona have both looked impressive with QB’s, Teddy Bridgewater and Carson Palmer at the helm and they have both gotten better each week and could be headed for a head on collision down the road in the postseason.

Minnesota’s Teddy Bridgewater
#6 Pittsburgh moved up four slots after #7 Denver’s loss to Kansas City (who has looked much better the last three weeks) 29-13.
After the Steelers not much else is worth mentioning, other than the fact that the ONLY other team to win last week was #8 Buffalo defeating the #11 NY Jets 22-17 and now the Jets find themselves on the outside of the top 10 bubble looking in. Even though they would still qualify for a playoff spot today the team is currently on a downward trend and had best start playing better OR they will find themselves out of the post.
#9 Atlanta did move up and back into the top 10 even and though is was their bye week and they haven’t played that great as of late, is wasn’t their fault that everyone around them all lost.
#7 Denver and #10 Green Bay have looked like only a shell of the teams that started the season, the Packers have dropped three straight while Denver has lost their last two. Injured QB, Peyton Manning has had one of the worst seasons since his rookie season tossing only 9 TD’s and 17 Ints. on the year and many are beginning to question whether or not the All Pro and one time super bowl MVP should retire.
When you look at the rest of the WOYSM NFL Top 15, you have only mediocre teams best in #12 NY Giants, #13 St. Louis, #14 Oakland and #15 Seattle none of which have been able to win consistently this season.
This is Whats On My Sports Mind about this subject:
As the season progresses each week it’s beginning to look more and more clear that even should New England lose a game during the regular season, they are the team to beat in the post and if Carolina is the team to represent the NFC in Super Bowl 50, My Sports Mind cannot see the Panthers having enough firepower on offense to keep up with the high flying Patriots offense.
Green Bay has struggled since WR, Jordy Nelson went out for the season and QB, Aaron Rogers has had issues adjusting to the loss and WR, James Jones has not filled Nelson’s shoes. Also having a dismal season thus far is Packer RB, Eddie Lacy which is another reason Rogers has struggled, allowing opposing defenses to key more on the pass.

Packers WR, Jordy Nelson
Denver? you can go ahead and bury, they have lost all the steam they had earlier in the season and appear headed for a train wreck IF QB, Peyton Manning is not able to regain his health, composure and protection which he has sorely lacked.
My Sports Mind really likes what I’ve seen in this young Minnesota Viking team and if they can stay healthy and confident they could be making that 5th try at the teams first ever super bowl win. But if it’s against New England it could likely be their 5th failure.

Dallas QB, Tony Romo
As far as MY Dallas Cowboys are concerned, My Sports Mind still would like to see them wind up with the first pick of the draft, since we have already dropped seven straight and are just as much in the running for the top pick as any team, why not go ahead and put the finishing touches on this near rebuilt team the RIGHT way and that’s with top picks PLUS use the first pick overall to get that young franchise QB to replace Romo when he retires? My Sports Mind can’t see Dallas going 7-0 the rest of the season and anything less could spell the end of their postseason hopes, so why not make the most of a likely toasted season?
As far as the rest of the teams in the WOYSM NFL Top 15 it’s all turned into a BIG crap shoot and determining who makes the postseason between them is going to come down to who happens to be winning the last two weeks of the season.

Chief’s QB, Alex Smith & RB, Jamaal Charles
My Sports Mind does like the way the Kansas City Chiefs are playing at the moment winning their last three straight and in dominating fashion, outscoring those three opponents 97 to 36. So they are trying to play their way back into the top 15, one more win by them and a loss by one of the WOYSM NFL Top 25 bottom feeders could bring about that result….
