Big Games Loom This weekend In College And Pro….

by Larry Leek

South Carolina        VS        Georgia

There are some nice games ahead for the weekend in the NCAA And NFL for weeks #3 and #2 respectively.

The Border Battle between the South Carolina Gamecocks and #7 Georgia Bulldogs is always a great game, no matter if both or just one of the two is ranked, you never know who will wind up on top.

Especially when you look at the last 10 seasons where the two teams have split at 5-5 with the Gamecocks winning last year and four of the last five meetings.

It could be a tough outing today however for The Gamecocks and Head Coach, Steve Spurrier as they travel to Sanford Stadium in Athens, GA to take on the #7 Ranked Bulldogs. South Carolina lost their starting QB, Connor Mitch with a separated shoulder last week and Gamecock Jr. QB, Perry Orth looked decent filling in for Mitch and will get the start tonight for South Carolina. The Gamecocks are the biggest underdog against Georgia since the 2005 season.

Ole Miss        VS        Alabama

Elsewhere in College Football  and also in the SEC, #2 Alabama  Hosts #15 Ranked Mississippi where Mississippi’s high scoring offense will try to continue their success against Alabama’s potent defense.

In other games between ranked teams :                                                                                                                                          #16 Georgia tech At #10 Notre Dame                                                                                                                                                  #11 Auburn At #13 LSU                                                                                                                                                                            #25 BYU At #14 UCLA

Over in the NFL there are some nice match ups.

Patriots        Vs        Bills

The #1 Ranked New England Patriots travel to Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, NY to take on the #13 Buffalo Bills.

Other games between ranked teams:                                                                                                                                                   #9 San Diego At #5 Cincinnati                                                                                                                                                               #6 Seattle At #2 Green Bay

In another BIG NFC East match up The #3 Dallas Cowboys travel to Philadelphia to take on the unranked Eagles and former Cowboys RB, DeMarco Murray.

The Cowboys lost WR, Dez Bryant to a broken foot for a minimum 6-weeks and the Cowboys have also yet to establish a starter at RB. So they could have their hands full in Philly with a group of hungry new Eagles anxious to prove they deserve to be part of the team after the controversy’s surrounding the team after they released quite a few notable starters which included Eagle fans favorite RBShady McCoy .

This is Whats On My Sports Mind about this subject:

Each week the games are going to get more and more intense on both levels and this My Sports Mind tells me this week will be no different.

First I want to say GO Gamecocks and GO Cowboys!!!!

I think South Carolina can upset Georgia in Athens today IF their defense should show up, something they haven’t really done since the 2013 season. But it’s going to be very tough getting the win for MY Gamecocks down in Athens.

In the other games among Top Ranked teams My Sports Mind says to look for Notre Dame, LSU & UCLA to remain unbeaten.

In the NFL I believe The Patriots   offense will be too much for the Bills  defense in a close game and My Sports Mind  tells me that Green Bay will be too much for Seattle in Lambeau and the Chargers Vs Bengals is a you pick em.

So everybody kick back grab a few COLD Beers or whatever your pleasure and settle in for What In My Sports Mind  looks to be a GREAT weekend of Football….

So Whats On Your Sports Mind about this subject?
