WOYSM NFL Top 15 (Week 1)

With Week 1 in the books and the NFL Season  finally underway there’s already been a few surprises with the biggest being the manhandling of the Seattle Seahawks by the St. Louis Rams .

New Head Coach Rex Ryan has the Buffalo Bills fired up and they could be ready to make some noise in the AFC East, they defeated The Indianapolis Colts and not just on the scoreboard but pretty much every phase of the game.

The Rams made it into the Top 15  at #14 and yes even though the Rams beat the Seahawks, Seattle is still currently ranked higher than St. Louis because you don’t drop the team from the #1 slot all the way to the bottom of or completely out of the poll after just one loss.

Buffalo moved into the poll as well occupying the #13 slot And as everyone knows, when new teams jump into the polls it means other teams dropped out and those two teams are the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

New England picks back up where they left off last February in the #1 slot thus moving into a tie with the Seahawks with one appearance each thus far as the #1 Ranked team.

The Giants suffered a tough loss that they should NOT have lost to the Dallas Cowboys and while New York was bounced out of the Top 15 The Cowboys bounced UP to #3. But the question is how long can the Cowboys stay there after losing WR, Dez Bryant for a minimum of four weeks with a broken foot. This is a HUGE loss for the Cowboys.

This is Whats On My Sports Mind about this subject:

First I’d like to thank Eli Manning for showing that he really IS a Cowboys fan, if not for him I don’t think my Cowboys could have won. I’m really concerned about Dallas’s immediate future however, without Dez in the lineup it’s going to become a bit easier for opposing defenses to prepare for the Cowboys now, especially since they have yet to establish a running game.

The St. Louis Rams and Buffalo Bills both looked impressive but before anyone gets too excited, lets see if they can maintain the level of intensity over the next 15 games.

The Philadelphia Eagles offense looked down right anemic and My Sports Mind tells me if their O-line continues to let QB, Sam Bradford get hit as much as I witnessed last night it will be yet another shortened season for Bradford.

New England just keeps rolling along and Seattle losing to the Rams allowed New England to move right back into the #1 slot, picking right back up where they finished in 2014.

They are currently tied with the Seattle Seahawks both have been in the #1 spot once thus far and just like the college football Top 25 poll from this point on the header picture for the Poll will be the top ranked team.

Marcus Mariota’s NFL debut was VERY impressive, even I had big questions about Mariota prior to the draft and though one game does NOT a career make, I definitely like what I’ve seen so far. If they can continue doing what they did on Sunday My Sports Mind tells me it won’t be long before you see them in the polls.

The Colts, Seahawks & Lions all have some issues and if they want to stay among the top ranked teams they better solve them quickly or it could get ugly.

So Whats On Your Sports Mind about this subject? Let us know who your Top 15  teams are….
